Europe’s eight-race segment of this year’s FIA Formula 2 Championship spanning the next five months begins in Spain this weekend (12-13 May) with Lando Norris leading the standings by 14-points.
The 18-year-old Briton has placed his Carlin entered Dallara first and fourth (Bahrain) plus sixth and fourth (Baku) in this season’s opening four races on the 24-race calendar.
The 2.9-mile Circuit de Barcelona in Catalunya will mark the McLaren Reserve & Test driver’s first race at the Spanish track – like in Bahrain and Baku – although the BRDC SuperStar has previously tested both Formula Renault and Formula 3 cars there. The Feature race will consist of 37-laps (107-miles) while the Sprint race runs for 26-laps (75-miles).
Friday: 1300-1345 Practice; 1655-1725 Qualifying.
Saturday: 1640 Race 1 (Feature).
Sunday: 1130 Race 2 (Sprint).
